Common causes are a worn or swollen battery, a failing charging port or charging chip, a short on the board, or a runaway app. We rule out software first, then check the hardware.
If it is too hot to hold, or the battery looks swollen, switch it off and do not charge it. Bring it in so we can find the cause before it gets worse.
Typically about 1 h. Many repairs are finished the same day, depending on the issue and on whether we have the part. We give you an estimate when we quote.
This repair carries a 90-day warranty on the installed part and the labor. It does not cover new impacts, drops or liquid contact after the repair. If the same fault comes back within that time, we look at it again at no charge.
