A PlayStation 4, PS4 Pro or PS5 that will not power on, blinks and shuts off, or shows no light at all usually has a failed component on the board rather than a faulty cable: a power chip, a capacitor or a damaged trace. We start with the simple checks (power cable, outlet and the power supply), then open the console and measure the power rails under a microscope to find the part that failed. We replace only that part, so the whole board does not have to be written off. Before any work starts we tell you what we found and what it takes to fix it, and afterwards we test power, video, sound and the controllers.

This repair carries a 90-day warranty on the installed part and the labor. It does not cover new impacts, drops or liquid contact after the repair. If the same fault comes back within that time, we look at it again at no charge.
